On April 23rd we invite you to engage in an insightful workshop designed by the Toronto Organization Development Network (“TODN”). Joining us will be Lorie Saxby, Ph. D. from Ahead Coaching and Consulting Inc. Lorie will engage us with concepts and practices that will help us understand what neuroscience and clinical research tells us about peak performance. There will be opportunities to develop practical strategies for increasing productivity and performance for ourselves as leaders and for people in our teams.

Leaders, people managers and individual performers alike will appreciate how increased work volumes and pressures in the workplace leave us sometimes feeling overwhelmed. Lorie will explain how during overload, mental sharpness is impaired. Has this ever happened to you?

The challenge for leaders, executives and other high performers is to fully tap into their “executive cognitive skills”. In this workshop you will learn about the latest brain science research and develop a better understanding of the brain-performance connection. This will teach you how to observe “smart” behaviours in yourself and others, and develop a plan of action for improving on those “smart” behaviours.

The learning objectives of this half day seminar are as follows:

  • Learn the definition of “smart” and how to identify and observe “smart” behaviours;
  • Explore how to access “smart” resources in order to be more productive;
  • Learn how to put into action observable “smart” behaviours for improved performance – making smart people smarter; and
  • Start to formulate a plan to implement smarter behaviours for yourself and others.
