2009 Program Minimize
We have an exciting program of workshops and socials for this year:

Feb. 24: The Four Generations @ Work: An Exploration
Breakfast Workshop

This is a model built on the research of Emotional Intelligence, Covert processes, and the new psychology of Mindsets to help generations of individuals, teams, and organizations get out of their own way.

Learning objectives for this interactive workshop:
  • To learn how our own assumptions and perceptions affect our ability to build relationships and get things done effectively with the other generations
  • To reframe our own filters and use them effectively to communicate across the different generations
  • To explore what personal actions will lead to better relationships and enhance our ability to get things done faster and smarter

April 15: The Revolution in the Work Place
Breakfast Workshop

Discover what technology is doing to the workplace – learn what is actually happening, and develop a better understanding of the implications on how work practices are changing. We will then be in a position to explore what the workplace revolution means for us as leaders, managers, change agents or consultants, and figure out some practical actions to incorporate in how we work and interact with others so that we are up to date, effective, efficient, and most of all relevant!

June 16: Never let a crisis go to waste
Late Afternoon Workshop with Evening Social
3 pm to 9 pm

A crisis is more like a stiff wind, which should get our attention, but often does not. We need to take advantage of this stiff wind to sell any necessary changes to our organizations.

Change can be difficult. Whenever change happens, resistance to that change builds. The reason: resistance to change is built into our DNA. For the 20,000 generations that preceded us, those that ventured from the beaten path got eaten! They never had a chance to contribute their DNA to the gene pool. The more cautious got to propagate the next generation. So, we resist change, it’s built into our genes, unless we have a very good reason for making the change.

Bottom line: Never let a crisis go to waste. It can become the trigger point for convincing other people in the organization that the change has to be made.

Sep. 22: Organizations as Living Systems
Afternoon Workshop (3 to 6 pm)

As long as we see our organizations as a collection of “human resources” instead of seeing them as “living systems”, we will fail to tap into the spirit and collective intelligence of our people. It is akin to managing timber resources instead of a forest. The question becomes how do we actually do this beyond keeping the metaphor in mind? Come to this workshop to experience a tool that you can use to routinely tap into the collective intelligence and wisdom of your living system, whether it is your team, board, partnership, or whole organization.

Nov. 5: Resilience Enabled Leadership: In today’s turbulent times, how does building “resilience-enabled leadership” set the stage for success?
Breakfast Workshop

Discover what successful corporate leaders are doing to understand and apply Resilience development techniques to benefit their bottom line. During the workshop, we will explore Resilience development techniques available to leaders in today's turbulent times, how can application of simple Resilience development techniques positively impact the bottom line, how leaders can identify the potential for resilience enabled leadership in their own organizations.

APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY FOUNDATIONS WORKSHOP IN FRENCH

Montréal, November 25 to 27, 2009

On November 25 to 27, we are offering a three-day foundations workshop on Appreciative Inquiry.  This workshop is titled: Introduction à l’approche de l’enquête appréciative and will be offered in French.  The Appreciative Inquiry aproach was developed during the 1980's by David Cooperrider and his colleagues at Case Western University.

Too often in our management and organizational development practices our attention is quickly put on what is not working, what is broken, what is problematic.  This deficit based approach emphasizes problems and breakdowns and sometimes even amplifies them.  In contrast to this traditional approach, Appreciative Inquiry brings our attention to what works in our organization, asking questions to discover what we value, what is meaningful for us, our successes and our strengths, allowing us to dream up and create our collective desired future.

We invite you to register for this workshop before October 17 to take advantage of the early-bird rate.

For more information, please refer to the attached brochure and registration form (in French) or communicate directly with France Cloutier, Bergevin Cloutier & Assoc on (416) 466-3080 or france@bergevin-cloutier.com.

Au plaisir de vous y voir.

Note :  Please forward this invitation to those who might be interested in this workshop
