The Four Shields of Balance

Join us to explore Pre-Mayan and Mayan earth-based wisdom applied to Organization Development and Leadership Coaching.

The Native American tradition called The Delicate Lodge is a blueprint containing over 300 wheels of wisdom for becoming a Sacred Human and living an extra-ordinary life. The wheel of wisdom called The Four Shields of Balance is both a diagnostic and an activating wheel for measuring the internal state of balance of both individuals and teams. The operational definition of Professionalism often over-values the wisdom of the Warrior (Strategy, Resources, Assembly, Action) and devalues and/or tolerates at best the wisdom of the Magical Child, the Little Child, and the Nurturer. Consider the extent to which you and/or your team(s) are playful, imaginative, curious, adventurous, and are taking time to reflect on what you are learning. Your team will experience higher levels of resourcefulness and performance when The Magical Child, the Little Child, The Nurturer, and the Warrior are woven into a lively tapestry of balanced energies.

Please join us for this interactive session in which you will be introduced to the Four Shields of Balance and have opportunities to use the wheel to identify the shields that are already vibrant and the one(s) that would benefit from a revitalization process. Finally, individual and team application within an organizational setting will be addressed.
